Another one..

I did want to include this in the exhibition, but
1) it is still part of the ongoing marking process at University
2) I did it over two canvases and they have to be hung exactly level for the image to carry over
3) I still love it and am very attached to it (and if by some luck it sold, I would also be very sad)

(p.s note to self - do not become attached to your paintings otherwise you will never make any money)!

these are also part of that enquiry, but I didn't feel they had the same appeal as the two I'd selected for the exhibition.

the top one uses hessian to provide the density of texture that I was after, the bottom one uses a rag.

The 2 pieces I submitted for Talking Walls Studio

these are part of my original enquiry into the derelict building site of the burnt down Yates' Wine Lodge. However, I do like Art to speak for itself and they have an ambiguity which draws you in, especially the top one which is my seminal piece (and one of my favourites)

TAlKING WALLS STUDIO EXHIBITION

Was lucky enough to be included in this exhibition which brought a range of artists from different  disciplines and backgrounds together in one exciting new space. I had several nice comments about the pieces I submitted.  It was a great evening and very successful.

Managed to get down to the cemetery again - to do a little of what I enjoy doing best...

one of my favourite angels
me at work - creating my masterpiece! (didn't happen this time though!)

As one door closes.... maybe another one will open?

That proposal fell through unfortunately - well at least I tried (even if I did make a fool of myself) To me it seemed completely logical, well thought out and an all round winner.
I think my motto should be 'nothing ventured nothing gained' and to learn to not take rejection too seriously.

Finally found a few moments to update....starting with Printfest
